Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidy, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific seminar entitled “Guarantees Stipulated in the Current Labor and Social Security Law.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Noor Abdul Khader Salal and Ms. Rafal Naeem Hassan.
The seminar addressed the definition of work and the worker in legal legislation, highlighting the rights and duties of the worker. It also reviewed the most important guarantees provided by the current Labor and Social Security Law, particularly retirement and social security guarantees. The seminar further discussed the most prominent provisions of Labor Law No. (37) of 2015 related to wages, working hours, and leave, in addition to clarifying the legal guarantees granted to working women in Iraqi legislation.
