The Department of Materials Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a specialized workshop as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, titled “Entrepreneurship in Solar Energy: Innovation and Market Opportunities in Iraq.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Shamam Kadhim.
The workshop aimed to promote a culture of entrepreneurship among students and graduates and to connect the academic output of materials engineers with the demands of the modern job market, especially given the government’s focus on supporting sustainable energy projects and reducing carbon emissions. The workshop also addressed a clear roadmap for young people and innovators to enter the clean energy market. Discussions centered on technological innovation, analysis of the Iraqi market, entrepreneurship, and economic feasibility.
