The Chemical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a scientific and awareness-raising workshop entitled “Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering and its Role in Environmental Protection.” The workshop, held in the Continuing Education Hall, was presented by Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Alaa Hawas.
The workshop aimed to increase awareness of the environmental responsibility of engineers and how to find innovative engineering solutions to contemporary environmental problems such as climate change and industrial pollution, in accordance with global sustainability standards.
It also addressed several key themes aimed at linking the academic aspect with modern environmental applications, most notably the fundamental principles and a review of basic concepts of chemical engineering and how to utilize them to serve society.
