Dr. Asmaa Abdul-Amir Abis, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at Al-Qadisiyah University, represented the university in her capacity as head of the Internationalization and International Projects Team at Al-Qadisiyah University. She was accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Rahim Rishan from the Scientific Affairs Department, a member of the Internationalization and International Projects Team.
The workshop, organized by the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the European Union Delegation to Iraq, and held at the University of Kufa, included participation from several public and private universities in the central region. It was part of the European Union’s initiative to support higher education in Iraq and focused on introducing the application procedures for Erasmus+ programs, building institutional capacities, enhancing opportunities for international academic cooperation, and developing the research and administrative skills of educational institutions. The workshop also discussed introductory topics related to application requirements, project preparation mechanisms, and acceptance criteria, in addition to reviewing several successful experiences in this field.
Al-Qadisiyah University participated by presenting its capacity-building project idea, which was well-received by representatives of the Ministry and the Erasmus+ program. Work will continue to develop and fully implement the project in the coming months.
