Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Kadhim Nuwair Al-Zubaidi, the College of Fine Arts held a scientific seminar entitled “Soft Power in Television Drama.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Bahjat Abdul Wahid Abdullah. The seminar aimed to introduce students and those interested to the concept of soft power and its artistic and media dimensions, raise awareness of the importance of television drama in influencing society, and enhance critical understanding of dramatic works and their role in shaping public opinion. Key recommendations included utilizing television drama to promote positive cultural and national values, supporting purposeful dramatic productions that reflect the identity and issues of society, developing students’ critical awareness in analyzing dramatic content, and encouraging specialized academic studies in the field of soft power and dramatic media.
