The Department of Roads and Transportation Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a specialized training course entitled “Structural Behavior Under Loads” in the Continuing Education Unit hall. The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Rand Mohammed Jassim.
The course covered an in-depth analysis of how different structural elements respond to applied loads (static and dynamic), focusing on the following concepts: Stress and strain analysis: studying the distribution of internal forces within the structure to ensure safety and efficiency; Types of loads: distinguishing between static and dynamic loads and the effect of each on the structural durability; and Avoiding structural failure: reviewing potential failure scenarios and how to address them during the design phase.
