Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul-Amir Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College’s Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, in cooperation with the Nursing Syndicate, completed a scientific workshop entitled “First Aid.” The workshop was presented by University Lecturer Banin Razzaq and Professor Hassanein Ali, and moderated by Assistant Lecturer Sara Razzaq.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of first aid principles, enable participants to correctly handle emergency situations, introduce the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and explain how to deal with wounds and epileptic seizures. The workshop recommended the importance of spreading a culture of first aid in society, the necessity of providing first aid equipment in institutions, the importance of adhering to approved medical guidelines, and contacting medical authorities in emergency situations.
