A book titled “Crimes Arising from Breaches of Public Contract Execution in Iraqi Legislation,” authored by Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamdallah Ahmed and Lecturer Dr. Suad Shaker Baawi, both faculty members at the College of Law, Al-Qadisiyah University, has been published by Hatrik Printing, Publishing, and Distribution House.

The 248-page book discusses the impact of crimes on the execution of public contracts within the framework of Iraqi legislation. The importance of this topic lies in protecting public contracts from infringement or tampering, thereby safeguarding public funds from waste. The rampant corruption, the evolving methods of fraud and deception, and the squandering of public funds necessitate strengthening the legislative system responsible for providing the necessary protection for these contracts. This is especially crucial given the prevalence of financial and administrative corruption in public contracts, coupled with delays in their execution for many years despite the availability of financial resources and the exceeding of the stipulated timeframes.
