The Chemical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a specialized scientific course entitled “Financial and Accounting Manuals in Iraq” in the Continuing Education Unit hall at the college. The course was presented by Assistant Professor Abdul Amir Zamil.
The course aimed to highlight the foundations and mechanisms used in financial and accounting management within Iraqi institutions, in accordance with official instructions and regulations. The course also included a comprehensive and detailed explanation covering the definition of the financial structure, a review of the basic components of the financial and accounting system adopted in Iraq, an explanation of the most important accounting principles governing the recording and classification of financial transactions, and an explanation of how to correctly apply financial manuals in preparing accounting records and documents. In addition, the course explained the fundamentals of preparing budgets and how to audit the final accounts of institutions.
