Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul-Hassan Al-Fatlawi, and the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Al-Janabi,
Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the College of Education, held its central festival commemorating the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The festival was attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, deans of colleges, heads of academic departments, faculty members, and students in the Dr. Al-Waeli Hall at the College of Education.
The festival, which included the participation of a select group of representatives from official and academic institutions and the Human Rights Commission in Diwaniyah, featured an opening address by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and various presentations, including:
– The topic of extremism: prevention and combating it, presented by Mr. Iyad Tali’ Al-Mayali, Director of the Organizations Affairs Office at the Governorate Office.
– The Success Story segment was presented by Ms. Hiba Mohammed Al-Shabani, Director of the Al-Amal Institute for the Deaf and Mute.
– The Indivisible Human Rights segment was presented by Dr. Golan Hussein Khalil, Head of the Human Rights Division at the Psychological Research Center, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
– The Sayings and Heritage in Human Rights segment was presented by Dr. Laith Jabbar Naama, Head of the Human Rights Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
– The Monologue segment, “The Red Shadow,” was presented by a group of students from the Theater Department at the College of Fine Arts, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Talib, Head of the Theater Department.
– Theatrical Performance segment, “The Loss,” was presented by a group of students from the Theater Department at the College of Fine Arts, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Jassim Shibli.
The festival concluded with the honoring of supporters, participants, and outstanding individuals through the presentation of certificates of appreciation for their efforts.
