Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yassiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Aqeel Al-Barqawi, the Microbiology Department at the College of Medicine held a workshop entitled “Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) Technique.” The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdul-Majeed Mustafa and Biologist Ms. Banin Mohammed Ali.
The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the fundamental principles of ELISA and to enable students and researchers to apply the technique correctly in educational and research laboratories. It also aimed to improve the efficiency of laboratory staff by identifying common errors and how to avoid them. The workshop recommended adhering to quality control standards and regularly calibrating equipment when conducting ELISA tests to ensure the reliability of results. It also emphasized the importance of maintaining appropriate laboratory conditions and encouraged further practical workshops to learn how to perform appropriate statistical analysis of the results.
