The College of Science at Al-Qadisiyah University held a workshop to raise awareness about the dangers of counterfeit medicines traded online.

Under the auspices of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Salwan Ali Obaid, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Science, in cooperation with the Organized Crime Unit in Diwaniyah, held a workshop entitled “Pangea Phase 17: Drug Smuggling.” The workshop was presented by Hussein Nizam Kadhim and Lieutenant Colonel Karrar Ali Hamoud. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about counterfeit medicines traded online and to familiarize participants with Pangea’s role in combating such networks. This operation, which involves approximately 82 countries, including Iraq, and is conducted in cooperation with health and customs regulatory bodies, seeks to combat the trade in counterfeit medicines.
