The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Combating Cybercrime, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Cyber Extortion Crimes and Their Treatment.” The seminar was presented by Captain Mohammed Khader.
The seminar aimed to provide the comprehensive education that the department strives to offer, which extends beyond the technical and engineering aspects to include building social and legal awareness among graduates, especially since their specialization is directly related to the foundations and technologies of communication and information used in these crimes.
The seminar also included integrated sessions focusing on defining this digital crime, its various forms, and the reasons that lead individuals to fall victim to it, particularly due to unsafe internet use and inadequate internet settings. Privacy
