Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, received a delegation from the University of Brussels, Belgium, at his office to discuss avenues for joint scientific cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Professor Dr. Mohammed Hamza Al-Hashemi, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, and Professor Dr. Rajwan Faisal Al-Mayali, Dean of the College of Archaeology.
The University of Brussels delegation consisted of Dr. Ella Aberger, Dr. Andreas Niemark, and Dr. Stefan Smith. During the meeting, they discussed avenues for scientific and research cooperation between the two universities, particularly in the field of studying ancient climate changes and research on Paleolithic humans in Iraq.
Similarly, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul-Hassan Al-Fatlawi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, also received a delegation from the University of Brussels at his office to discuss joint research areas and ways to develop them. The Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Professor Dr. Ali Jawad Al-Kinani, was also present. It is worth mentioning that the professors from Brussels are always keen to attend the international scientific conferences held by the College of Archaeology at Al-Qadisiyah University, and they have joint scientific research with researchers and students from Al-Qadisiyah University.
