Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Dirgham Majeed Hamid Al-Fatlawi, the College of Nursing organized a scientific course entitled “Sustainable Development and its Core Goals.” The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Israa Muftan Hashim.
The course aimed to highlight the concept of sustainable development and its economic, social, and environmental dimensions, and to explain the role of academic institutions in achieving its goals. It also aimed to raise awareness of the importance of integrating sustainability principles into educational and research programs.
The course also covered several key topics, most notably an introduction to the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations, with a focus on the core goals related to health, education, and the environment, and the importance of strengthening partnerships to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.
