Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Nabil Imran Musa Al-Khalidi, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Arts held an awareness lecture entitled “Legal Responsibility for Spreading False and Misleading News Among Students in Educational Institutions.” The lecture was presented by Assistant Lecturers Tamadhur Razzaq Abbas and Mayasin Qaid Mayeh.
The lecture aimed to raise students’ awareness of the legal responsibility resulting from spreading inaccurate information and news within the university or on social media platforms. The lecture recommended the necessity of relying on official sources within the university when discussing news and activating the role of university media units to respond quickly to rumors and misleading news.
