Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yassiri, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Kadhim Nuwair Al-Zubaidi, the Department of Performing Arts at the College of Fine Arts, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a specialized scientific lecture entitled “Environmental Theater and its Aesthetic Performances.” The lecture was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Halim Hatif.
The lecture addressed the most important concepts of environmental theater and the mechanisms for utilizing open spaces and natural elements in constructing performances, in addition to practical examples that enriched the students’ knowledge and contributed to broadening their aesthetic perspectives.
Dr. Faisal Abdul Awda, Head of the Department of Art Education at Al-Ain University, also presented a lecture entitled “Theater Theories and Their Applications.” In his lecture, he discussed the most prominent theatrical theories and their development, explaining how they can be applied in training, performance, and directing.
