Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Archaeology, Professor Dr. Rajwan Faisal Al-Mayali, the College of Archaeology at Al-Qadisiyah University held a workshop entitled “How to Use Modern Technologies by Postgraduate Students in the Department of Archaeology.” The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Abbas Ali Al-Husseini and Professor Dr. Walid Saadi Mohammed.
The workshop highlighted the scientific necessity of relying on these technologies to develop the level of specialized research. Discussions emphasized the importance of integrating linguistic skills in reading cuneiform texts with modern digital data, which provides a deeper understanding of archaeological sites. It was also noted that researchers’ possession of these tools contributes to raising the quality of postgraduate studies and gives them higher scientific value in documentation and analysis
