Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul-Amir Abdul-Fattawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Physiology Department at the college held a seminar on oxidative stress and its role in the biochemical changes of liver enzymes. The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer [Name Missing]. Rosa Mohammed Hassan
This session aimed to understand the concept of oxidative stress, explain the mechanism of its effect on liver cells, identify the relationship between oxidative stress and liver diseases, and clarify the role of antioxidants.
The session recommended increasing antioxidant intake and reducing exposure to toxins, pesticides, and certain medications known for their oxidative effects, in addition to regular exercise to improve the balance between oxidation-reduction processes.
