An educational seminar was held at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, on strategies for preventing harassment in the workplace and educational environments.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Jazaa, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering organized an important educational seminar entitled “Harassment in the Workplace and Educational Environments: Prevention and Protection Strategies.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Israa Riyadh Al-Gharra.

The seminar highlighted several key topics, including the concept of harassment and its forms. Harassment was defined and its various types were classified in both the workplace and educational environments. The symposium also addressed the effects and repercussions: a discussion of the severe psychological and social impacts of harassment on individuals and academic institutions.

The symposium concluded with several recommendations emphasizing the importance of activating ongoing awareness programs, developing effective protection measures, and supporting initiatives aimed at building a harassment-free university environment that promotes the values of safety and mutual respect among all members of the university community.
