Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul-Amir Abdul-Fattlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine completed a workshop entitled “Awareness and Strength: Self-Defense Skills.” The workshop was presented by trainer Asaad Razzaq Abbas Al-Hamzawi and facilitated by Ms. Miad Qadir.
The workshop aimed to empower students by enhancing their awareness and self-confidence and equipping them with self-defense skills to confront any potential danger. The workshop also included situational awareness training on how to assess the surrounding environment and avoid dangerous situations before they occur, as well as emotional stability exercises to promote calmness and control over reactions during stressful situations.
