The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, conducted a field visit to monitor the progress of the large garage project at the College of Education and the expansion of the central street located between the College of Education and the University Presidency building.
During his tour, accompanied by the project’s supervisory committee (Engineer Hakim Kadhim Abis and Engineer Ismail Badiwi Dahash), the University President emphasized the need to expedite the project’s implementation and use the best construction materials. He also pointed out the necessity of utilizing other available spaces to construct additional garages to accommodate the volume of vehicles, while respecting green spaces and ensuring they are not negatively impacted by adjacent projects.
It is worth noting that the central parking garage is located opposite the university’s administration building, adjacent to the Departments of Life Sciences and History. Spanning 1512 square meters and built to high standards, it features two entrances and exits and can accommodate over 150 vehicles. This will help alleviate traffic congestion caused by vehicle accumulation and haphazard parking. The garage is also part of a series of infrastructure development projects launched by Al-Qadisiyah University to improve the university environment.
