Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Bashir Shaker Al-Awadi, and in cooperation with the Family Guidance Center in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate, the Educational Guidance Unit held a scientific seminar entitled “Extremism, Actions, and Moderation.” The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Talib Abdul-Ridha Kaitan.
The seminar addressed several topics, including the nature of extremism, which it described as a pathological condition resulting from circumstances and ideology. It noted that extremism leads to the weakening of dialogue, the escalation of conflict, and the pursuit of a definitive judgment. In contrast, moderation is defined as the logical approach that necessitates moderation and balance in actions, and calls for avoiding acts of extremism and revenge.
