The Department of Highway and Transportation Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a field trip for third-year students to buildings under construction at the university. The visit aimed to enhance the students’ practical skills and provide them with an opportunity to observe the implementation of modern projects and learn about the details of the construction phases and the infrastructure of concrete structures under the supervision of the engineering staff executing the project.
The students were accompanied by a group of faculty members from the department: Assistant Professor Dr. Abeer Saeed, Dr. Mohammed Abbas Mousa, and Engineer Sajjad Abdul Muslim, under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Highway and Transportation Engineering. During the visit, the technical and engineering aspects related to the design and construction of the buildings were explained, in addition to discussing the challenges facing the implementation of construction projects and ways to address them according to engineering standards and specifications.
