Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Bashir Shaker Al-Awadi, the Women’s Affairs Unit organized an awareness workshop entitled “Positive Family Upbringing: Foundations and Structure.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Duha Tariq Shawkat and moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Ru’a Abbas Asyoud.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance and role of the family in raising children and building their personalities, and its impact on creating a sound society built on values and principles that define its behavior and identity.
Among the most important recommendations was that parents should play a fundamental role in raising their children, as they are the role models that children look to from childhood to learn in this life. The workshop also emphasized the importance of families activating dialogue in parenting, understanding children’s needs and feelings, guiding them effectively when problems or challenges arise, and developing solutions where possible.
