Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Dirgham Al-Fatlawi, the College of Nursing organized a scientific course entitled:
(Vitamin D and its Relationship to Mental Health), presented by Assistant Lecturer Irfan Abdul-Zahra.
The course aimed to highlight the relationship between Vitamin D and mental health, explaining the role of this vitamin in regulating neurotransmitters and vital processes within the brain, as well as discussing the impact of its deficiency on some mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia.
The course also included a presentation of the latest scientific studies addressing the importance of vitamin D supplementation as part of integrated nursing care. It witnessed fruitful interaction among the participants and scientific discussions on the potential application of the concepts learned in daily nursing practices to improve the quality of care provided to patients.
