Professor Dr. Alaa Ahmed Abdul Wahid, Head of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education, Al-Qadisiyah University, published his book entitled “Green Environmental Applications.”
The book addresses the importance of green environmental applications and consists of eight chapters. Chapter one explains the three environmental elements. Chapter two covers green environmental applications in the field of agriculture, such as green revolution technologies, clean agriculture, vertical farming, environmentally friendly fertilizers, seed banks, and the development of green application technologies in the field of food security. Chapter three addresses green buildings through the addition of nanomaterials to concrete and green roof applications in cities. Chapter four explores the concept of green industry and the production of environmentally friendly cars and solar-powered aircraft. Chapter five highlights clean green energy, such as natural alternatives to vehicle fuel, biogas applications, and solar applications. Chapter six covers artificial intelligence and information technology in the field of green applications through mobile phone applications. Chapter seven addresses future ideas for green environmental applications in the field of space, including protecting the Earth. The danger of asteroids and comets is discussed, as are space-based solar power plants and recyclable space rockets. The eighth and final chapter of the book covers the impact of education on employing green environmental applications by raising environmental awareness of their importance, integrating modern concepts of green applications into various subjects and curricula at various educational levels, and the need to devise modern teaching methods that utilize local environmental resources. The College of Education, represented by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Hamza Al-Janabi, wishes Professor Dr. Alaa Ahmed Abdul Wahid success and higher positions.
