Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kallaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Professor Dr. Mai Ali Aziz, a workshop entitled “Active Decision-Making Strategies in Kindergarten” was held. Presented by Asst. Ms. Hala Yahya Abbas, Asst. Dr. Marwa Abdel Halim Saleh, and Asst. Ms. Amina Hadi Mohammed
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the concept of active decision-making and its importance in developing thinking skills among kindergarten children. It also aimed to clarify the role of educators and teachers in creating an enabling environment that helps children participate in decision-making.
It also called for promoting the concept of active learning by involving children in the thinking and decision-making process, in a manner appropriate to their developmental stage. It also offered practical recommendations that would contribute to developing curricula and teaching methods in kindergarten.
