Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kallaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Dhurgham Majeed Hamid Al-Fatlawi, the College of Nursing held a scientific workshop entitled “Security and Safety Requirements in Scientific Laboratories.” Assistant Professor Dr. Sajida Khamis Abdullah
The workshop aimed to consolidate occupational safety principles and protect workers from potential hazards within laboratories. It also aimed to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment. It also addressed common accidents such as fires, chemical burns, and exposure to infectious diseases. It emphasized the importance of wearing personal protective equipment, maintaining workplace cleanliness, handling hazardous materials safely, and working under the supervision of specialists.
