As part of the program to develop the skills of graduate students in the research phase, the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a specialized scientific workshop entitled “Methodology of Analysis and Comparison in Scientific Research.” Professor Dr. Adi Jaber Hadi lectured and the workshop was moderated by lecturer Dr. Ali Hamza Jabr.
The workshop aimed to develop graduate students’ skills in employing analytical and comparative approaches in preparing their scientific research, enabling them to choose the most appropriate approach for the nature of their topics. It also introduced them to the foundations of sound scientific comparison and how to utilize them in analyzing legal, jurisprudential, and judicial texts.
The workshop concluded that combining analysis and comparison is one of the most effective approaches in legal research, as it enables researchers to understand texts from multiple perspectives and contributes to building an objective critical vision when studying legislation and comparing it with other legal experiences.
The workshop recommended the need to intensify training courses on scientific research methods for graduate students and encourage them to employ the comparative approach when addressing topics of a legislative or judicial nature, as Therefore, it has an impact on raising the quality of legal research and achieving the desired scientific and practical benefits.
