Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kallaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidi, the College of Pharmacy held a seminar entitled “Legal Protection of National Products in Iraq.” Assistant Professor Dr. Awlia Jabbar Sahib Al-Hilali presented the seminar.
The seminar addressed the concept of legal protection for national products and its importance in supporting the local economy. It also addressed the tools and objectives of this protection, as well as the entities responsible for its implementation and the provision of the necessary legislative and institutional support to achieve it.
The seminar concluded with several proposals, most notably the need to address the phenomenon of flooding the market with imported goods and support Iraqi products in accordance with international agreements. It also included the establishment of import controls to enhance product competitiveness. Local
