The Department of Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific course titled “Innovative Wastewater Treatment Technologies” in the Continuing Education Unit Hall at the college. Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Yasser Ghajir lectured.
The course aimed to highlight the latest technological developments and sustainable solutions in the field of wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment, given its vital importance in preserving the environment and water resources.
The course covered advanced scientific topics, including an introduction to the challenges of wastewater treatment in Iraq and the global environment. It also reviewed emerging biological, chemical, and physical purification technologies, focusing on membrane technologies and their role in achieving high water treatment and reuse efficiency, and compared the economic and environmental feasibility of traditional technologies.
