Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Hamza Al-Janabi, Dean of the College of Education, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, held an educational seminar entitled “Literacy: The Path to Empowerment, and Knowledge: The Foundation of Prevention and Protection.” Presented by M.M. Zaman Hassan Abis, M.M. Muhammad Jalawi, M.M. Fatima Saeed Hamza, and M.M. Ashraf Karim Badi
The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of literacy as a fundamental step toward empowering individuals to play an active role in society, and to enhance cognitive and cultural awareness as a means of preventing marginalization and ignorance and achieving sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the symposium, a number of recommendations were discussed, emphasizing the need to activate educational awareness programs and expand the base of community participation in supporting literacy efforts and empowering individuals cognitively and culturally
