Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kallaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Diseases and Poultry Diseases at the college held a seminar entitled “Modern Diagnostic Methods in Poultry.” Assistant Professor Dr. Israa Najm Abdullah
The session aimed to showcase the most prominent modern diagnostic methods currently used in poultry, discuss their advantages and limitations, and how to apply them on poultry farms. It also proposed mechanisms for integrating laboratory diagnostics, field diagnostics, and artificial intelligence, and stimulated discussion about the challenges facing the application of these technologies in developing countries.
The most important recommendations included encouraging training in the use of modern diagnostic tools, adopting a policy to support the use of these technologies, promoting applied research to adapt these technologies to local conditions, and calling for pilot field projects to integrate laboratory diagnostics with field diagnostics in model poultry farms.
