Al-Qadisiyah University provides a water desalination plant for its students in coordination with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

As part of its ongoing efforts to provide the best services to its students, Al-Qadisiyah University has provided a major water desalination system under the auspices of the Religious Authority’s representative in Karbala and in coordination with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Takalif Mahdi Al-Yasiri, oversaw the receipt of the water desalination system. The system was attended by his assistant for administrative affairs, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the Director of the Projects and Construction Department, the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, and the Shrine Coordinator at the University. The system was donated by the Imam Reza (peace be upon him) Charitable Foundation, affiliated with the Religious Authority’s representative in Karbala, in coordination with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

The system has a capacity of 72,000 liters for 8 hours of operation, equivalent to 9,000 liters per hour, and is equipped with solar-powered cells.

In the coming days, a strategic location will be prepared for its installation in a public place to serve the university students and affiliates.
