Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kallaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Aqeel Rahim Hassan Al-Barqawi, the Registration Division at the College of Medicine held a workshop entitled “Introducing the SIS System and its Implementation Mechanisms” in Ibn Al-Baytar Hall. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the SIS system’s working mechanism as a platform for student affairs management. It also explained the steps for entering and updating data to ensure the accuracy and ease of access to information. It also strengthened the capabilities of registration department staff in handling the system, addressing technical challenges, and highlighting the system’s future role in reducing paperwork and accelerating services provided to students.
A presentation was also given, detailing the basic components of the system, the login and user registration mechanisms, and a practical overview of how information is processed and reports are generated. Participants also discussed potential problems and ways to address them, and exchanged experiences to develop work mechanisms consistent with current requirements.
The workshop recommended the need to continue holding similar training workshops to cover all the details of the system, forming a follow-up committee to address any technical obstacles that may arise during implementation, and providing supportive technical infrastructure, including networks and devices, to ensure speed and accuracy of use. The workshop also recommended the gradual and simultaneous adoption of the system, while developing staff competencies and raising students’ awareness of the importance of the system and its role in facilitating their follow-up of student affairs.
