The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, Diwaniyah Branch, organized an awareness seminar titled “Promoting Community Awareness of the Role of Civil Defense, Early Warning Systems, and First Aid in Addressing Risks and Disasters.” The seminar was held in the Continuing Education Unit Hall. A cadre from the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, Diwaniyah Branch, presented the seminar.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness among the university community about the importance of civil defense as the primary response to crises and the role of early warning in reducing losses. It also highlighted the importance of learning first aid skills to save lives in emergency situations.
The seminar included introductory lectures and practical applications of first aid, with a detailed explanation of how to deal with emergencies such as burns, bleeding, and fractures, as well as how to act in fires and disasters. Natural
