Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Hamza Al-Janabi, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, held a workshop entitled “The Role of Women in Political Decision-Making.” Presented by Assistant Professor Zaman Hassan Abis Al-Jalihawi and Assistant Professor Fatima Saeed Hamza.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of enhancing women’s representation in decision-making positions, clarify the factors affecting their political participation, and identify the challenges they face in politics at both the local and international levels.
The most important recommendations emphasized the need to support political parties in nominating women for leadership positions, as well as developing training and qualification programs to empower women politically and in the media. It also encouraged the media to highlight successful female models in political work.
