Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics at the college completed a training course on internal suturing techniques. The course was presented by Assistant Professor Rafid Hadi Farman, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Kazim Manahi, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Ali Hussein
The course aimed to introduce participants to various internal suture techniques. It also covered each type of internal suture for internal organs, such as suturing the esophagus, stomach, intestines, and bladder.
The course recommended adhering to the recommended suture technique for each case, avoiding excessive thread tension to prevent tissue tearing, choosing the appropriate type and size of suture according to the animal species and tissue type, and adhering to sterilization techniques to avoid infection.
