Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the college held a symposium entitled “The Iraqi Wounded: Giving and Sacrifice.” Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Jari lectured and the symposium was moderated by M.M. Sari Razzaq Khadir
The symposium covered several topics, including the humanitarian and national dimensions of the sacrifices of the wounded, healthcare, rehabilitation, the legal rights of the wounded, and the role of society and state institutions in supporting the wounded.
The most important recommendations were to strengthen legislation supporting the wounded, establish specialized rehabilitation centers in each governorate, allocate educational programs or scholarships for the children of the wounded, and launch ongoing media campaigns to support their causes.
