Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College’s Microbiology Department completed a training course on Advanced Techniques in Microbial Genetics. Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Dagher lectured.
The course aimed to develop participants’ skills in using modern molecular techniques to study microbial genetics, as well as enhance theoretical and practical knowledge in fields such as gene modification, PCR, and bacterial genetic engineering. It also enabled participants to design advanced laboratory experiments in the field of microgenetics.
The most important recommendations are to continue organizing specialized courses to cover the precise aspects of microgenetics. It is necessary to support research laboratories with advanced technologies to enhance the practical side of students and researchers. Encouraging joint applied research between scientific colleges to develop innovative solutions in the field of medical and veterinary microbiology.
