Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hayawi Waheed Attia Al-Jawdari, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the College of Agriculture held a training course entitled “Production of Synthetic Varieties.” Assistant Professor Dr. Hussam Fahim Najib and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Fahim Jabbar lectured.
The course aimed to cover several topics, including defining the synthetic variety, its most important characteristics, how to produce synthetic varieties, identifying and distinguishing synthetic varieties, selecting parental lines, and the difference between synthetic and hybrid varieties.
