Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the college held a seminar entitled “The Anatomy of Bird’s Eyes,” presented by M.M. Raed Kahat Muajjal
The episode aimed to introduce the anatomy of the bird eye, compare it to other creatures, and discuss the visual adaptations that enable birds to enjoy precise and superior vision.
The episode also included an anatomical presentation of the bird eye, based on the bird’s lifestyle, and a mention of some of the anatomical characteristics unique to birds, including their ability to see at night and underwater.
