Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the college held a seminar on a histological study of the pituitary gland. Assistant Professor Dr. Hassanein Ali Abdul Amir Al-Sharout lectured.
The seminar aimed to understand its cellular and histological structure and link this to its hormonal functions. This helps explain its mechanism of action, the physiological and pathological changes that may affect it, and to conduct comparisons between different species.
The most important recommendations are to conduct accurate histological and immunological studies at deeper levels to determine the precise functions of each type of pituitary cell, as well as to link histological changes to the hormonal functions of the gland under various physiological conditions (such as puberty, pregnancy, and aging). and satisfactory
