Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Sattar Hamid Al-Janabi, the University of Al-Qadisiyah continued the launch of the Central Sustainable Development Festival at the College of Education. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, the Dean’s Assistants for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the heads of the Sustainable Development Units at the University and College Presidency, and a select group of professors, accompanied by the head of the College’s Agricultural Unit.
The second day included a series of activities, including the opening of the greenhouse (College of Education Nursery) opposite the College Deanship, the inauguration of a group of fountains in the College after their rehabilitation, and afforestation efforts in the College’s corridors. The festival also included the opening of a book fair and an art exhibition, which featured a collection of photographs, paintings, and scientific achievements by a group of College students.
The festival concluded with the Dean presenting the book “Green Environmental Applications,” authored by Professor Dr. Alaa Ahmed Abdul Wahid in collaboration with Assistant Professor Haider Hadi Abboud. The book addressed a range of applications in the field of environmental sustainability.
