Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Mahdi Kalf Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine held a symposium on the human right to work. Assistant Professor Shaima Abbas Subaih and Assistant Professor Abdullah Kamel Mohammed presented the symposium.
The symposium aimed to highlight the human right to work, a fundamental right that guarantees dignity, self-realization, and participation in economic development. This right guarantees fair employment opportunities without discrimination and promotes the human right to work.
The symposium recommended strengthening vocational education and training programs to qualify the workforce according to the evolving requirements of the labor market and supporting the local economy to encourage small businesses as a primary source of employment opportunities, in addition to improving the work environment.
