Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Nabil Omran Al-Khalidi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Arts held a training course entitled “Climate Change Adaptation Strategies and Mitigating its Negative Impacts.” The course was presented by Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Abdul Hussein and moderated by M.M. Zainab Muhammad Hamza.
The training course aimed to highlight the importance of protecting ecosystems and developing innovative strategies to address the environmental challenges resulting from climate change, with a focus on enhancing community and global cooperation to achieve a sustainable ecosystem.
The course recommended the need for concerted efforts at all national, regional, and international levels to address the risks of climate change and the need to adopt strategies that mitigate the repercussions of these phenomena. It also emphasized the need to adopt sustainable development to mitigate these risks and impacts.
