The Educational and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University held a scientific symposium entitled “The Phenomenon of Extremism,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Hamza Radhi.
The symposium aimed to introduce students to the phenomenon of extremism and highlight its dangers to individuals and society. The symposium concluded that extremism has spread in recent years, transcending the boundaries of the individual to the point of being adopted by some countries, threatening peace and security for both individuals and society.
The symposium recommended the need to reject extremist ideas and call for the spread of a spirit of love and tolerance among diverse segments of society. This can be achieved by activating the role of all parties in combating this phenomenon, including governmental, religious, social, and civil society organizations, and by not placing the burden on one party.
