Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Microbiology Department at the college held a scientific training course on the mechanism of disposing of biological waste and bacterial cultures in the microbiology laboratory. The course was presented by Dr. Jamila Radhi Ismail, Asst. Khulud Hamdan Fahd, and Prof. Dr. Balsam Merry
The course aimed to identify the best healthy methods for disposing of microbiology laboratory waste. It also emphasized the importance of laboratory staff maintaining public health for individuals, society, and the environment by raising awareness among students, staff, and faculty about the need to classify waste generated in all laboratories before transporting it to a treatment site in accordance with health and environmental regulations and public safety mechanisms.
