The College of Agriculture at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific course on the isolation and extraction of microorganisms, theoretically and in the laboratory.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hayawi Wiwa Attia Al-Jawdari, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the College of Agriculture organized a scientific course entitled “Isolation and Extraction of Microorganisms, Theoretical and Laboratory.” Lectured by Asst. M. Bassem Mohammed Karim, the course aimed to enable students and researchers to use practical and safe methods for isolating pathogenic and beneficial microbes, and to use laboratory equipment optimally. It also aimed to identify the types, characteristics, and properties of these microbes. The most important conclusions included the possibility of isolating microbes safely in the laboratory, identifying a wide variety of microbes, and identifying the characteristics of harmful and pathogenic microbes, as well as beneficial microbes. The most important recommendations included holding specialized courses in the laboratory, preparing highly qualified laboratory staff, and providing the necessary human and financial resources, equipment, and devices.
